Ven had been helping around, wanting to be useful. However, when Saix asked him to check on Axel while he was gone, he'd been incredulous. Unfortunately, he'd been so shocked by the question he hadn't had a chance to object and so he'd been saddled with the job. Using Saix's spare key, he unlocked the door and called out to the seemingly empty apartment.
"Axel! Axel, are you here! Saix sent me to check on you!"
