(Note: Yes. Posting this a few days early. Because otherwise it will definitely slip my mind entirely. I am the flakiest, yes I am.)

It's that time of year again, lovely residents of the complex! Valentines Day. The day of love and hearts and so much pink you start to feel violently ill just seeing the color... Or 'Forever Alone Day' if you're without love. But don't worry! The complex always has your back. Even if it's always more trouble than help.

The usual stuff seems to be floating around. Both love and hate potions filling various food and drink items. Pink heart decorations. (And for the trolls out there, some nice little black spades in some places too.) Various holiday-themed treats left out for them, some of them filled with potion and some not.

But it's gone a step further this year. Those of you in relationships aren't really in any danger from it's plans. You have love and it's pleased for you. Those of you who aren't however, may find yourself in bed with a stranger. Perhaps you think they're your lover. Or perhaps they think you're theirs. Perhaps it goes both ways or neither. Whatever the case, have fun because the complex has bound you to them. Those magic rings on your ring fingers? Yeah. Can't get them off. Why? It's the source of the magic. You're now married to this person in your bed. This may include being stuck at their side for the rest of the day, sadly. Hope you weren't expecting any solitude...

For those of you who have escaped the love-bug of the complex, just be ready. It's waiting to throw all kinds of curveballs your way. Prepare for one heck of a Valentines day, residents!

Evan moves along the halls, in search of something. Or rather, someone. A girl. Miranda Lotto. Someone who probably really doesn't want to see him ever again. But hey, it's Valentines Day. So he felt like it was perfectly fine to drop in on her. With a smile. And candy and flowers.

Miranda is out and about for once. She's wearing a pretty dress. She doesn't usually dress up, but today's a special occasion. She's seeing her girlfriend so they can have fun together on the holiday. The soft smile on her lips isn't her usual nervous one, but a genuine one.

She smooths her dress a little and looks around, searching for her friend. Of course, she's forgotten her cell phone at home she hasn't received the text Lenalee sent her saying she was running an hour late because of her brother. She'd be a little crushed if she had, but she also probably would have avoided running into anyone…unpleasant. She doesn't see Evan yet, which is why she's still smiling.

When Evan spots her, he creeps up behind, quietly. He wraps both arms around her, holding the flowers in one hand and the box of candy in the other, lifting them into her line of vision. A card taped to the candy box says 'Happy Valentines Day to the most charming girl in the world' in large cursive letters. He doesn't speak yet, but grins and nuzzles his nose against the back of her neck a bit.

She smiles at the sweet gesture. Her hand goes to the candy box, picking up the card and her smile widens. She thinks it's Cole who did this for her. Or maybe Zexion, he was sweet like this when they were together. True, he hadn't been around much lately… But maybe that would change?

She takes the candy and flowers, turning around to thank her mysterious Valentine. And then the candy drops out of her hand and the flowers fall to the ground. She stares in open shock and confusion and budding horror at Evan. "Wh-what are you d-doing…?"

He keeps right on smiling, giving a casual shrug.

"What do you mean, what am I doing? Surprising you on Valentines Day, obviously. I should, right? Candy? Flowers? A nice card? Don't you deserve them~?"

He knows full well she doesn't want to see him. He knows full well why. And yet here he is. Purposely bothering her.

Miranda backs up a bit. She knows she should probably pick up the candy and the flowers. She doesn't want to give him a reason to be mad at her. She's actually never seen him mad but once, just once, Cole talked about the man to her...

She's deathly afraid of him now. Gone is the woman who confronted him. That hadn't really been her, that had been the hormones at work. She's always been nervous, easily flustered.

But this? This takes the cake. She has no intention of letting him see her daughter. He disappeared on them. He doesn't want to be a father. Still, she's nervous. Why is he trying to pretend to be nice to her. She takes another step back, accidentally stepping on the stems of the flowers. She shakes her head, not noticing she just stepped on his gift. "N-no. Well, yes, the sentiment is nice b-but…" She squeaks out. "Why m-me?"

Her fear just seems to please him and he laughs again, stepping towards her. There's nothing outright threatening about the motion, but that's usually how it is. He's always calm and cheerful and totally relaxed right up until he snaps.

"Well why not you? Hmm~? After all, last time I was here, weren't you spouting nonsense about how I was your child's father? I thought maybe you wanted my attention!"

He reaches out, cupping her chin.

"So now you have it, right?"
