To find herself standing in front of the apartment felt almost unreal. Just imagine it, she was walking down the town's streets, thinking to find a place to stay for the week, and when she looked at her side, ta-da, the building was there.
It was as if the place heard her wish and popped out of thin air to give her what she wanted.
Nagisa shook her head, feeling stupid for thinking that magic had something to do with it. It was a pure coincidence, and she should've feel grateful that she didn't need to take a long walk to find an apartment.
Hopefully they have a vacant room, she spoke in her mind as she entered the building, heading to the reception desk in order to talk to the owner.

"I would like to rent a room, please," she stated, going right to the point.

"Do you want a roomate or would you rather room alone?"
He pushes the paperwork on the desk aside and opens a drawer to dig around for a small stack of different papers and a pen, setting them on the desk.

Her gaze shifted from the boy to the paper crafts. They were pretty well-made. And cute. Although, she wondered why they were made of paperwork, instead of normal origami papers...
That aside, he got her attention back when she heard him placing the pen down on the desk. "How much will it cost me?"
I don't actualy know what a normal price for an appartment is. ^^;;
"For a one bedroom appartment, it's this much a month. Your appartment will have a common area, a kitchen and a bathroom as well. We also have a shared kitchen just through there."
He points to a door at his left.
"It's always stocked and your free to take anything as long as it isn't labled as belonging to someone. It's not nice and sometimes it's not safe."
He taps the paper again before laying down the pen.
"You can sign right there when your ready. But you should read the papers first. If you have any questions, feel free to ask."
lol it's okay, I'm expecting an answer like this, actually
Skimming through the pages, she felt the urge to ask, "There will be no curfews, correct?"
Sorry for the wait. ^^;;
Just giving fair warning. It's up to each tennant to decide what's best for themselves.
"If you are up late though, we ask that you don't disturb the other tennants. And that you don't destroy any of the complex's property. If you do you'll be charged a fine and will have to clean up the mess yourself."
No prob, I was taking a hiatus too;;
"I'll try not to bother them, but I can't say I won't break things from now and then," she said as she began to fill in the form and added her signature on it. Once she finished, she took out some money from her wallet and put it on the desk. "It's payment for this month."
For me it's more that Haru's voice comes and goes as it pleases. ^^;
He shrugs, taking the money and counting it. Once he's sure it's the proper ammount he puts it in one of the drawers and locks it. He also grabs a key and gets up, motioning for her to follow.
"Alright. This way. I'll show you to your room."
I see you have it hard v.v;; /pats
"That reminds me," she glanced back at the young landlord, "I haven't learned your name."
Haha. No worries. ^^ Most of my muses are more cooperative than Haru.
He doesn't ask questions as long as they don't cause any trouble for the other tenants or the complex itself.
"Did I forget to tell you? It's Haru. Haru Sohma."
He comes to a stop at a door, unlocks it and pushes the door open. Inside is her appartment. It has a common area right inside the door. Off to one side is a small kitchen. There are two closed doors in the room. One lead to a bedroom, the other to a bathroom.
"This is your room. We leave the furnishing up to residents. If you don't have any or don't know where to get any, we have a storage room full of odd bits of furniture. It was all there when we got the place and it doesn't belong to anyone, so you're welcome to take what you want."

She'd have to remember that if she would address him later. Wouldn't want to be impolite by calling him "landlord" every time she strikes a conversation with him, after all.
Nagisa peeked her head in after Haru opened the door. She always imagined that she would only receive a simple bedroom, like what she would get if she lodged in an inn, so to find out that such spacious area was provided for her, she was... surprised.
"It... resembled a small house," she said while in awe. It was a bit plain and she liked it better that way, but, "I understand; I'll go find the room myself later."

"Excuse me." She gave the man's shoulder a pat. "Are you the apartment manager?"
no subject
"Nah, nah, missy. I just live here, yea." He moves discretely away from her touch, turning around as if to face her so not as to offend her. "Ya looking ta live here too?"
no subject
"Oh, I'm sorry then." Folding her arms across her chest. "And yes, I do. That's why I'm looking for the manager. Do you, by any chance, know where the manager is?"
no subject
"Tha manager? I don't normally keep track of him, yea. I can help ya look for him if ya want though."
sorry for the late tag ><;
Nagisa held out her hand, offering a handshake to him. "I'm called Nagisa. You can stop calling me names now that you've learned my name, right?"
no subject
sorry for the superbly late response x_x;
"Don't you know it's rude to stare?"
Yes, it turned out that she realized that the boy had been watching her since she entered the building and, obviously, she wasn't pleased.
And I finally made the other landlord! /SORRY IT'S SO LATE
Yup. You just met the worse of the two landlords.
lol hello! c:
"I need to know what kind of facilities will I have and what rules I need to follow before I fill the form."
Hi~ Sorry Tyki's such a jerk
He shoves a clipboard at her and gives her a bored look. What more does she want from him?
No problem, she's trying to get used in handling jerks anyway :p
She decided that it'll be better to keep silent and go on with the procedure; that way she can get away from the landlord as soon as possible. Thus she filled the form (though she left some parts empty), put the clipboard down once she finished, and took out some money from her purse.
"For this month's."

—okay. There was actually someone in the area who could possibly be the landlord. However, the way she stayed and busied herself with something else instead of greeting Nagisa even though she did saw her entering the building made the girl doubted the possibility.
But it wouldn't hurt to ask, yeah?
Thus she decided to approach the blond woman while bluntly asking, "Are you the manager?"
no subject
"No. I've seen him floating around here on occasion though, so I'm sure he'll have to show up eventually." she sighed, stretching her neck.
Looking the girl in the eye, Tielle found herself focusing more and more on her eye patch, curious as to the story behind it. Picking up her book, she scribbled something in it quickly before closing it.
"And who might you be?"
no subject
"I see."
She looked at her left and right again, hoping to see someone else, but, no, there was no one in sight. Nagisa returned her attention to her interlocutor, and frowned when she noticed the woman was writing something in that book of hers.
"Shouldn't you give your name first before asking for someone else's?"
no subject
She bowed her head as she spoke, an old habit from her formal upbringing that has stuck with her for nearly two centuries. She gave Nagisa a smile, this time at least trying to make it seem a little more inviting than the smirk that had pursed her lips prior. A sharp fang clearly poked out from beneath her upper lip as she did.
"Is there anything you'd like to know about me, or this place, or anything really? I've learned quite a bit though my travels, though I still don't know much about this little establishment here."
