To find herself standing in front of the apartment felt almost unreal. Just imagine it, she was walking down the town's streets, thinking to find a place to stay for the week, and when she looked at her side, ta-da, the building was there.

It was as if the place heard her wish and popped out of thin air to give her what she wanted.

Nagisa shook her head, feeling stupid for thinking that magic had something to do with it. It was a pure coincidence, and she should've feel grateful that she didn't need to take a long walk to find an apartment.

Hopefully they have a vacant room, she spoke in her mind as she entered the building, heading to the reception desk in order to talk to the owner.

Lavi's been exploring the place, trying to get a feel for it. It's so different from what he's used to. He glances at her as she enters the building but quickly dismisses her presence. He hums as he presses the buttons of a keyboard over the counter. Nobody's currently at the desk to stop him or ask him what he's doing. He probably shouldn't be doing that, though.

Because of that, she assumed that he was the one in charge of this place. Well, even though her assumption was wrong, there wouldn't be any harm in speaking with him.

"Excuse me." She gave the man's shoulder a pat. "Are you the apartment manager?"

"Eh? Me?" He looks back at her and laughs. It's a pleasant laugh, the laugh of someone who likes to joke a lot. He shakes his head, still chuckling.

"Nah, nah, missy. I just live here, yea." He moves discretely away from her touch, turning around as if to face her so not as to offend her. "Ya looking ta live here too?"

She frowned at his attitude. The way this new man acted and spoke remind her of the delinquents in the organization. Which was rather unpleasant for her.

"Oh, I'm sorry then." Folding her arms across her chest. "And yes, I do. That's why I'm looking for the manager. Do you, by any chance, know where the manager is?"

He blinks at her curiously. "Why apologize, yea? There's no reason for ya to, my fair lady." Don't mind the comment, Lavi tends to give flowery nicknames to women.

"Tha manager? I don't normally keep track of him, yea. I can help ya look for him if ya want though."

Nagisa held out her hand, offering a handshake to him. "I'm called Nagisa. You can stop calling me names now that you've learned my name, right?"
