His brows arched together in confusion. Something seemed strange. There was something off about his surroundings but he couldn't quite place what exactly. He pulled out a deck of cards and began shuffling them absently. It was a method he developed to help him concentrate. He glanced down at the deck, watching his fingers filter through the cards. He only looked down for a moment but when he looked up again, everything had changed. This wasn't the garden he'd been in only moments before. He was now sitting in the middle of an unfamiliar courtyard. He continued to shuffle the cards, trying to think of a logical explanation to how he arrived here. He couldn't come up with an idea that was plausible, though.
He looked up again. He seemed perfectly at ease in his new surroundings. There was no point in being dramatic or getting upset by the situation. He felt an unpleasant fluttering in his stomach, though, as a thought sank in. He wouldn't see them again. He wouldn't see any of the Nobodies again. Not Axel or Saix or Roxas or Xigbar. He wouldn't see Xaldin again, wouldn't hear his deep laugh.
Despite these uncomfortable ideas, he continues to shuffle the deck. "Hmm. This isn't where I was. I wonder where I am now."

"It's been a while."
/sob ;__; Sorry Zexy, he's super protective of kids
Date: 2012-08-31 05:31 am (UTC)His eyes flicker back up to Zexion and his face resorts back to it's calm, deceptive mask. "Not that long. I saw you maybe three weeks ago, laddy. Although, with the current state of the Organization, I don't blame you if it felt longer."
His eyes flicker again to the stroller and then to Michiko. His eyes harden slightly and he summons his weapon, Fair Game. "You didn't answer my question, laddy. I like you but that doesn't change things." Time manipulation at it's finest, he's suddenly on the other side of him, holding the stroller at arms length. "When did you stoop so low as to agree to kidnapping innocent babes?"
sddabdksbdk! ;w; Zexion's going to freak. Luxord is so cool though.
Date: 2012-08-31 03:59 pm (UTC)Zexion on the other hand, briefly looks afraid when he turns to face Luxord. One arm curls protectively over Michiko who responds by grabbing his sleeve and playing with it.
"I didn't kidnap them."
His eyes narrow, but the worry is still showing clearly. He can never tell what someone from the Organization is going to try.
"You're the one kidnapping here. So unless you want a fight, I would suggest you return my children."
He's not sure he can fight Luxord properly with the kids there. He really doesn't want it to come to that.
Luxord doesn't believe him <__< well, he's not sure what to think, actually
Date: 2012-09-23 07:15 pm (UTC)He looks at Zexion cooly. "They don't look like you, lad." He says it in a quiet tone, and yet it's clear he expects answers. "They have dark hair, not blue. Care to explain that?"
One of the twins whimpers a little, not out of fear but because the stroller stopped moving. He rolls it back and forth gently, in a practiced move while watching Zexion, scrutinizing his every move. "And last I knew, you were Vexen's devoted puppy in training. How would you explain suddenly acquiring three babes, lad? Sounds a bit far-fetched to me." He shakes his head. "I cannot allow you to throw these children at the mercy of those kind of experiments."
Don't worry, Luxord. Nobody blames you for being so cautious.
Date: 2012-09-23 07:47 pm (UTC)"That would be because, biologically, the twins are not mine. They are, however, my fiance's children. And regardless of who their birth father is, I consider them my own."
The whimper draws his attention and he makes a slight move as if to check on the child before stopping himself. He doesn't want Luxord to take them and run or something.
"In any case, I didn't suddenly do anything. The twins are nearly four months old and Michiko had her first birthday back in May."
He pauses for a moment to fish out Michiko's teething ring as the child tries to chew on the collar of his coat. She seems pleased to accept the teething ring instead however, leaving the collar alone.
"I really don't want this to come to a fight, Luxord. So tell me what I have to do to prove I'm being honest."
Because he doesn't want to risk the kids getting hurt and he's not letting Luxord walk off with Masaru and Izumi.
"Adopted kids" And now he's even more worried ^^;;
Date: 2013-09-18 08:09 pm (UTC)His eyes narrow as another thought comes to mind. "And how can you raise them without a heart, laddy? Children need more than provisions to thrive, they need the devotion of their parents. As a Nobody, how can you hope to give them that?"
That's a big concern for him. Nobodies are, by definition, heartless. It means they can act without a conscious to a certain extent. After all, almost anything can be rationalized if pesky emotions aren't in the way. "I need proof that you won't harm them, more than just your word." He gives him the option of coming up with an idea on his own.
Re: "Adopted kids" And now he's even more worried ^^;;
Date: 2013-09-19 07:13 am (UTC)"I'm not without a heart any longer, Luxord. If you want proof then you can check for yourself. Or I suppose you could ask my fiance directly. She's the one who helped me find it."
He hates this situation. It reminds him all too well of the night the Organization fell. Of Xemnas holding Michiko's egg and using it against him. He doesn't like the idea of Luxord doing the same now.
"I'm likely not who you believe I am. In my world, the Organization has fallen. Xemnas is dead. And the only thing I'm trying to do is live a peaceful life with my family. If you don't trust me then let me call their mother to come get them. Alright?"
Compromise. He hopes it's enough. He's getting increasingly anxious in this situation.
