Trick Or Treat

The complex is up to it's old tricks once again. The driveway is lined with glowing pumpkins. Eyes glow from the bushes. Bats and ghosts hang from the trees. And a skull archway waits as the entrance to the complex. The skulls talk, quipping out insults or flirting with passerby. They seem a bit too intelligent to be passed off as mere props.

The lobby walls and ceiling have been covered in fake spiderwebs. The walls lined with small spiders and the ceiling has become home to one very large one. A few hanging cocooned men completes the look. The floor is cleared so that it can be used as a dance floor if anyone wishes. And music can be heard playing throughout the complex--Halloween themed, of course. But there are chairs against the walls for anyone who wants to sit down. And fog covers the floors throughout the building. From a fog machine no doubt--right?

The shared kitchen is set up with skeletons at the table, apparently in the midst of their own undead party. The table is set with all manner of treats for everyone to partake of. And the punch is in a witch's cauldron. But be cautious--the Complex has been known to play tricks on it's inhabitants. And this year it's mixed things up so that the effects are spread to various snacks instead of being tied to one type. Some don't do anything, but plenty might add a few changes.

The back yard is also all set up. It's too cold to go swimming, but the pool has been lit and had dry ice added to it. There's a couple of booths set up for Halloween themed activities. Including bobbing for apples, fortune telling, pumpkin bowling, a candy corn relay race and a Halloween trivia game for prizes.

Relax. Enjoy the holidays. And watch out--maybe that costume isn't really a costume. After all, it is Halloween.

Zoe is wandering the complex, dressed as a witch. She's quite enjoying herself and is currently hanging around the back yard, checking out the booths.

Neil is dressed as The Dread Pirate Roberts today. He couldn't resist the chance to dress as a character from his favorite movie. He's checking out that spiderweb display. Pretty cool.

Sky | Halloween At The Complex

Sky had wanted something simple, with minimal effort and long sleeves. That's all he wanted. But he really should have chosen to just go Halloween shopping on his own in that case. Allowing his aunt and cousin to pull him along landed him with something more complex than he'd wanted. But he really couldn't complain, since they did all the work and it did have long sleeves.

He's dressed as Death, with full facepaint provided mostly by Grace.
